Mehrsprachige Jingle-Aktion zur Information über EU-weite Schwerpunktfahndung Mos Maiorum: B/K/S

Von 13. bis 26. Oktober findet eine EU-weite gemeinsame Polizeiaktion mit dem Namen „Mos Maiorum“ statt. Ziel ist es, MigrantInnen ohne Aufenthaltserlaubnis aufzuspüren und Informationen über Einreiserouten zu sammeln. Dabei sind mehrere Tausend PolizistInnen im Einsatz. Verstärkte Kontrollen werden in Zügen, Bahnhöfen, Flüghäfen, Autobahnen und Binnengrenzen innerhalb der EU erwartet. Die EU-weite Aktion wird von Italien koordiniert, die zurzeit die EU-Ratspräsidentschaft inne hat.
Eine solche gemeinsame Polizeiaktion wird seit Jahren von nahezu jeder halbjährlich wechselnden EU-Ratspräsidentschaft durchgeführt. Die bislang übliche Dauer von 5 Tagen ist nun von Italien auf 2 Wochen verlängert worden.
Die EU-weite gemeinsame Polizeiaktion findet nun also ab Montag dem 13. Oktober bis Sonntag dem 26. Oktober statt.

From 13th to 26th of October an EU-wide police operation named „Mos Maiorum“ will be conducted. The aim is to identify migrants without a residence permit and to collect information on migration routes. Several thousand police officers are involved. Increased controls are expected in trains, railway stations, airports, highways and internal borders within the EU. The EU-wide police operation is coordinated by Italy, which currently holds the EU presidency.
For years, such a joint police operation is conducted by almost every six-monthly rotating EU presidency. The usual duration of 5 days has now been extended to 2 weeks by Italy.
The EU-wide police operation is therefore now held on Monday 13 October to Sunday 26 October.
