Every 11 minutes, one woman is killed in the world. Murderers are partners or family members. That’s why we listen to great women who tell us what the situation is like in Austria, and why it’s important to talk about prevention!!

By marking December 6th, we symbolically remember the victims of the Montreal Massacre, but also all the women who were killed by men just because they were women (On December 6th 1989, an armed assailant killed 14 female students on the premises of the Polytechnic College in Montreal, Canada, shouting „You are all one bunch of feminists, and I hate feminists.“)

This time, a special collaboration in the scope of our Program Focus „16 Days Against the Violence Against Women and Girls“ – Ženergija featuring ZERPUPPungEN. In this unique show, we will hear the original recording of the public panel from June 25, that happened in the scope of the project Stop Femi(ni)zide – Aktion gegen systemische Morde. Initiated and organized by the theater collective Hybrid, the named action looked at the actual causes of gender-specific violence and patriarchal power structures and addressed these in five performances and panel discussions in public spaces.

The panel discussion is recorded by Christina Vivenz and features Mireille Ngosso, Mahsa Ghafari, Gabriele Michalitsch and Yvonne Wilder.

Diesmal eine besondere Zusammenarbeit zu unserem Schwerpunkt „16 Tage gegen Gewalt an Frauen und Mädchen“ – Ženergija featuring ZERPUPPungEN. In dieser einmaligen Sendung hören wir die O-Töne der öffentlichen Podiumsdiskussion vom 25.06., die im Rahmen des Projektes Stop Femi(ni)zide – Aktion gegen systemische Morde stattfand. Die vom Theaterkollektiv Hybrid initiierte und organisierte Aktion befasste sich mit den tatsächlichen Ursachen von geschlechtsspezifischer Gewalt und patriarchalen Machtstrukturen und thematisierte diese in fünf Performances und Podiumsdiskussionen im öffentlichen Raum.

Die Podiumsdiskussion wird von Christina Vivenz aufgezeichnet und ist mit Mireille Ngosso, Mahsa Ghafari, Gabriele Michalitsch und Yvonne Wilder besetzt.
