This episode of ZamZaman is a field recording of sorts, coming to you from the crossroads of Sarajevo and Taipei. In a departure from our regular programming, this month’s radio show pays tribute to artists who defy national boundaries and have no patience answering the ubiquitous „but where are you really from?“. From a Sudanese-American rapper to a Polish-Angolan duo, all the artists featured in this edition of ZamZaman share a cosmopolitan spirit, marked by hyphenated identities, multilingual lyrics and diverse musical influences.

Die neuste Folge von ZamZaman ist eine Art Feldaufnahme, die zwischen Sarajewo und Taipei entstanden ist. Anders als in vergangenen Sendungen, geht es in dieser Folge um Künstlerinnen, die sich jeglicher nationalen Angehörigkeit entziehen und keine Geduld für die nervige „aber wo kommst du denn wirklich her“ Frage haben.
