That Evening Football Show – Episode 32
Who does not love a bit of a philosophical discussion when it comes to football? The events at the Merseyside Derby took us to the debate of whether VAR is ruining the game. How should one define handball, and whatever happened to the concept of ball-to-hand? Are red cards being dished out like confetti? We also assessed whether Liverpool are now getting preferential treatment after what had happened (or had not happened), when they last played against Spurs?
We then went through the positive results Unai Emery has delivered to the Villa Park faithful so far. Has he finally understood what is required to manage a Premier League team, compared to his not-so-positive stint at Arsenal? Also, we predicted whether they have the chance in securing Champions League football next season.
Another Derby took place over the weekend in North London between Chelsea and Arsenal. The results seems to have suggested it was a good result for both sides, and we took a deeper look into whether Chelsea have finally got their momentum going.
Lastly, Dave shared with us that he took a -8 for the upcoming FPL gameweek(s). Was it a wise move? Judge it by yourself by clicking the play button!
