Summer Special Part 2: Afghanistan Solidary Mix
This mix is in solidarity of Afghanistan and the Afghan people from Afghanistan to those living in diaspora, exile, and displacement.
This mix features all music from the Afghan diaspora from classic 70’s songs by Ahmad Zahir to retro film scores and 80’s synth-pop by Wajiha and Farid Rastagar to the ballads of exile by Vienna-based, Hazara singer-songwriter, Dawood Sarkhosh.
The mix initially aired in August 2021 in honor and solidarity of the Afghan people during the takeover and siege of Afghanistan by the Taliban.
