Listen to people who experience and live the trans life. It’s a very cruel world for trans people, so support them, hire them, don’t shut them up, don’t silence them. It takes a lot of courage and strength for someone to speak up. Trans people exist, they are real. If we listened to more marginalized groups and their needs, this world would be a better place. We grow by listening and understanding, and by trying to break that toxic binary patriarchal system and oppression!

Steffi Stanković is a trans activist based in Vienna. Through her confident presence as a (trans) woman, Steffi brings visibility to a marginalized and stigmatized group outside the mainstream society. Her work is diverse, including workshops with youth and students, editorial contributions, online activism, edutainment, comedy on stage, and modeling. Gender is a significant issue of our time, and Steffi can address and discuss it from various perspectives—socially, politically, and personally.
