One Love – last words for the past, first words for the new

28.12.2015

Poems by Peer de Beer and read by him, except Silence by Paul Simon, performed by Leonhard Cohen.

I love you, and each and every one, because you are.

You are real, rich and deep, longing for the one love

to appear, and to live within it with all your heart.

Believe me, I know you, as your longing is same as mine.

Let us celebrate 2016 as the great year of change,

which it will be

And let us welcome the apocalyptic riders of the past

as the chosen messengers of the new dawn

They know it, they know they are, they know it

just being caught in fear and despair and desolation

Let us free them from their heavy loads

let’s pave them ways for freedom, peace and understanding

Just let us go on and on and on and this wind will turn

unroot all evil force once for all

and make us all newborn as babies of happiness and bliss

Trust me, they are here, the days of the new, the days of dawn

followed by nights of love and laughter

us sitting around campfires and sharing tales of struggle

how the dark lord lost this battle

slaughtered by his own creed and greed

though finally, it was him, who threw the seed

and made us work for common goals

as humans, brothers, sisters and by grace of mother earth

Believe me: we will see the sun rise, when the smoke has gone

And it will be like the first day, when the light was born.

Trust me, they are here, the days of new, the days of dawn

followed by nights of love and laughter

us sitting around campfires and sharing tales of struggle

how the dark lord finally lost his battle

slaughtered by his own creed and greed
