Michael Pacher

Der Maler und Bildschnitzer Michael Pacher wurde im 15. Jahrhundert in der Nähe von Brixen geboren und lebte dort. The painter and sculptor Michael Pacher was born near Brixen in the 15th century and lived there. Although few works survive, he and his studio occupy a unique place in the artistic production of the time. Pacher excelled in the production of complex altarpieces that combined painting and sculpture, and knew how to associate stylistic elements from North and South.
