Patients with atrial fibrillation frequently also have coronary artery disease. In the treatment of such patients for their atrial fibrillation: Less is more. Even small amounts of alcohol can cause cancer. Among women who did not smoke, one bottle of wine per week (less than one drink per day) increased the absolute risk for lifetime cancer by 1.4% (absolute percentage). Increased cancer risk in women particularly applied to risk of breast cancer.
