HEPATITIS C, NEW AND VERY SUCCESSFUL TREATMENT: About 3% of the world’s population is affected with hepatitis C. Most patients with hepatitis C have no symptoms, but there is a blood test. If left untreated, patients with hepatitis C can develop end stage liver disease (cirrhosis or liver cancer). The new treatment is very safe, much safer than the treatment before 2014. It seldom causes side effects, and the side effects are tolerable. The new treatment is very successful, much more successful than the treatment before 2014. 90% of the patients with hepatitis C are cured. This is a medical TRIUMPH. Only, this new treatment costs about 100 Thousand Euro per patient.
