Human trafficking: global and local perspectives

Das zweitägige Symposium „Menschenhandel: Globale und lokale Perspektiven“, organisiert vom Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), Soziale Arbeit und Non-Profit, Sozial- & Gesundheitsmanagement, gemeinsam mit dem Italien-Zentrum der Universität Innsbruck, fand am 12. & 13. November 2015 statt. Die Veranstaltung konzentrierte sich auf die Ursachen und Folgen von Menschenhandel auf globaler und auch auf lokaler Ebene insbesondere wurde die Route des Menschenhandels von Italien nach Deutschland über Österreich unter die Lupe genommen.
Referent_innen internationaler und lokaler Organisationen, der öffentlichen Verwaltung, als auch Wissenschafter_innen, erörterten in Präsentationen, Podiumsdiskussionen und Workshops, die rechtlichen, ethischen und politischen Aspekte des Menschenhandels. In dieser Sendung wird insbesondere die italienische Perspektive im globalen Kontext beleuchtet.

The symposium „Human Trafficking: Global and Local Perspectives“ was an international two-day event organised by the Management Center Innsbruck (MCI), Department of Social Work and Department of Non-Profit, Social & Health Care Management together with the Italy Center of the University of Innsbruck. The event took place at the Aula of MCI at 12th and 13th of November 2015 and focused on the causes and consequences of human trafficking on the global level and also on the local one, with special regard to the „trafficking route“ from Italy to Germany via Austria. In a mix of presentations, panel discussions and workshops, invited speakers representing international and local organizations, academia and public administration discussed the legal, ethical and political aspects of the issue human trafficking.
