Joel Duhon – Drummer bei „Ulrich Ellison And Tribe“ in Nr. 371 von ABSOLUTE ROCK – The Classic Rock Hour

Vor ziemlich genau einem Jahr ist der Schlagzeuger Joel Duhon Mitglied der Band des Austro-Texaners Ulrich Ellison geworden. Der seit 9 Jahren in Österreich lebende Gitarrist hat gerade den Austin Music Award als bester Gitarrist bekommen und „Ulrich Elison and Tribe“ wurden als beste Bluesband ausgezeichnet. Außerdem ist gerade vor wenigen Tagen das Album „Rise Up Form The Ashes“ erschienen.

About a year ago drummer Joel Duhon joined the band of Austrian born guitarist Ulrich Ellison. Ulrich is living since nine years in Austin/Texas and has just received the Austin Music Award as best guitar Player and  „Ulrich Elison and Tribe“ has been named as best Blues band. And a few days ago their new album „Rise Up Form The Ashes“ has been released.

Joel ist seit seinem Eintritt in die Band ein fixer Bestandteil des „Tribes“ und mit voller Begeisterung bei der Sache. Er ist voll des Lobes über seine Bandkollegen und ist neben Ulrich an der Gitarre und Sabine Ellison am Bass am eben erschienen Album ebenso zu hören wie der neue Keyboarder des „Tribes“ Jan Fleming.

Joel ist a permanent member of the band since he joined the „Tribe“ and very enthusiastic about his job. He is full of praise for the other band members. Joel can be heard on the new album next to Ulrich, Sabine Ellison on bass and Jan Fleming, the new Keyboarder of the „Tribe“.

Joel Duhon beschreibt sich selbst als „Rock´n´Roller“ und hat bereits eine vieljährigen musikalischen Werdegang hinter sich. Er hat im heimischen Texas mit vielen Blues, Bluesrock und Rockgrößen gespielt und Beispiele davon hören wir in dieser Sendung ebenso wie einige Songs vom brandneuen Album von Ulrich Ellison and Tribe.

Joel Duhon describes himself as a „Rock´n´Roller“ and has been active in the Texas and international music scene for many years.  He has played with many famous blues, rock and bluesrock musicians. Samples can be heard in this edition of ABSOLUTE ROCK as well as some new songs of the new album „Rise Up From the Ashes“ by „Ulrich Ellison and Tribe“.

Ulrich Ellison and Tribe vertreten Österreich (und natürlich Austin) beim European Blues Contest in der Nähe von Siena in Italien, und anschließend geht es auf Europa-Tournee bis Ende Mai. 10 Länder stehen auf dem Programm und der Auftakt findet am 14. April im Bluesiana in Velden statt.

„Ulrich Ellison and Tribe“ represent Austria (and Austin of course) at the European Blues Contest near Siena in Italy. Afterwards their European tour starts, which will lead them through ten European countries and will last until the end of May. The first concert will take place at the BLUESIANA  in Velden on April 14th.
