The presentation will focus on how sustainable transport and attractive, safe and healthy environments are interlinked. Providing invitations for walking, bicycling and accessible public transport can only be successful if the environment around it is responsive. When successful the gain is not just green mobility, but also inclusiveness, equity and social sustainability. Gehl has been working on creating sustainable communities for the past 17 years. The work of the office builds upon Jan Gehl’s writings.
