9. Dear St. Pölten,
It’s not sarcasm, I really do happen to like the town I live in, aware as I am that it could be temporary and everything, it’s just very pleasant at the moment and it has been for a while. Sometimes, on my walk to work, as I greet people along the way, I imagine I am none but Lorelai in her beloved Stars Hollow, as welcoming and wacky as „our“ streets, troubadours included. Just knowing that both friends and nature are but a few minutes‘ walk away changes the way I wake up in the morning and which music I hear first.
Some tracks are, indeed, right out of „the Gilmore Girls“, like the Shins with „So says I“, others, like „No Below“, are featured in games, but mostly it’s just music that makes me think of St. Pöten. Maybe they were recommended by friends, maybe I heard them in a bar, they’re my „Dear St. Pölten“ songs.
