Balkan-American Sketches

Initiated by a reissue of Igor Savin’s „Elektra“ by German Posch records, an electroacoustic tune that takes the best out of disco and 70s pop music, as brilliantly performed by Zdenka Kovačiček, we drift into the murky streets of Brooklyn. It is where Slovenian producer and composer Žiga Murko has based his recent cassette release, „Singer of Sorcery“ a set of intimate postcards scattered about his coming of age and an open dialogue with Great Apple. It is followed by Damir Avdić’s album of reminisces from Detroit and beyond, entitled „America“, a genuine take on his Đoni Štulić meets Ted Nugent aesthetics.
