Global Underground #18 Red Funk

17.07.2016

Scores of funky sounds were recorded in the Soviet Union during the second half of the 20th century, and released in tiny vinyl batches that barely survived through past the millennium. This week we play a few gems from back in the USSR plus a handful of additional funkified tunes – plus a cosmic break with Terry Riley and Don Cherry recorded in Köln.
