17.01. Bernhard Falkenberg (EN)

The German company owner was known in Włodawa as “the good German”, because he warned his employees about deportations to Sobibór and hid them. He was denounced and sent to Mauthausen concentration camp. He survived the camp. In 1969, he was awarded Righteous among the Nations by Yad Vashem.
